Every year at or near this time, I post the traditional photo of the first rhubarb growth! It's always exciting to see the first greenery appear and as in years past, the first plants to emerge from winter hibernation are the rhubarb.
This is one I shared with my mom in Arkansas. She wanted some rhubarb so in the off-season several years back, I dug up a root, split it in half and shipped her half off in a cardboard box. It's fun sharing your plants with others in the family. This same plant is growing in two separate locations, half a continent apart from its other half!
I wonder if mom's rhubarb has poked up yet, too?
