I got the greenhouse all cleaned out today and arranged all my empty pots, markers, hand tools, etc. It's a day I always look forward to, as it means that my gardening season is officially ramping up into high gear!
I just love it when the greenhouse is all cleaned out and it's ready for the new season. Yesterday, I did the last bit of cleaning, got all the pots and trays ready, loaded up bags and bags of Miracle Gro, and swept smooth the pea gravel.
This weekend, I prepared the greenhouse for the 2013 growing season. I washed everything down with bleach and water, scrubbed the shelves, turned over the pea gravel and connected the thermostatically controlled heater and cooling fans.
The greenhouse is at 40 percent capacity now and filling up fast! As you know, this gardening website is not the product of a large, commercial nursery – it’s just to show what can be done with minimal space and a bit of effort.
