2 pounds thinly sliced Scotch fillet (chuck eye steaks)
1/2 cup soy sauce
5 tablespoons white sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 tablespoons sesame oil
3 shallots, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
5 tablespoons mirin (Japanese sweet wine)
1) In a large bowl, stir together the soy sauce, sugar, sesame seeds, sesame oil, shallots, garlic, and mirin. Add the meat, and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours.
1-1/2 lb. (6 sticks) butter, melted
Dash celery salt
1 clove garlic (or more), minced
Dash garlic salt
1 tsp. real lemon juice
4 small boxes mushrooms, sliced
Put all in crockpot. Cook on low 1 1/2 hour.
2 heaping cups diced zucchini
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 to 3/4 cup chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup cheddar (or other) cheese

Blend in 3/4 cup Bisquick
Mix together all the above and pour into a 9-inch baking dish.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Optional: After baking and before serving, top with your favorite salsa!

1/3 cup lemon juice (appx. 2 large lemons, squeezed)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place rack in center of oven. Grease an 8x8 inch pan.
Lemony Bliss Cookies
1 stick of butter, softened
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbs freshly grated lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare baking trays with parchment paper.
Cream together the butter and sugar together until blended. Add eggs, one at a time and mix well. Mix in lemon juice and zest.
Once mixture is well blended, add baking powder and flour. Stir into a good batter.
Here are the bees I got from Stedman's Bees in Silverdale, Washington. These bees were successfully hived over the weekend and I'm just now writing the followup report.
I had no issues at all while hiving, outside of that momentary panic when I removed the feeder can and a few bees came out right in front of my face. Of course, I was wearing a veil, but no gloves. I covered up the hole in the box and immediately put on gloves.
4 lbs. apples (peeled)
2 cups sugar
2 tbs. corn starch
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
19 level tbs Crisco
Peel the apples, then slice.
In separate bowl, mix sugar, corn starch and cinnamon.
For crust, mix flour, salt and Crisco shortening with pastry blender. Add small amounts of ice water and mix with fork until all holds together.

1 jigger Rum, light or dark
In a mug put sugar, butter, rum and cloves. Fill with boiling water. Stir.
