Avocado and Tomato Salad

Buttermilk dressing:
1/2 cup buttermilk
4 tbs lemon juice
4 tbs oil
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbs chives, minced
1/2 tsp salt

Shredded lettuce
2 avocados
1 tbs lime juice
2 medium tomatoes, skinned
4 slices bacon, cooked crisp

Prepare dressing several hours before serving by combining all ingredients in a pint jar. Chill. When ready to serve, make a bed of shredded lettuce on each of 4 salad plates. Peel avocados, cut in wedges and sprinkle with lime juice. Cut tomatoes in wedges and alternate with avocado wedges on lettuce. Drizzle dressing over tomato and avocado wedges and crumble bacon on top.
